lawnmower Blenny

I have noticed that my maxima isn't opening up all the way and last night I observed my lawnmower, literally, sitting on the mantle. Now, the interesting thing is that the clam could have cared less. It stayed open while the lawnmower sat there. Very funny to see. Not sure what is going on with my clam, but I suspect that my phosphate remover is iron based... I need to get some that is not ferric oxide if I can find it.

changing slightly but ive had a lawnmover for a few weeks now he just bites at the glass all day long. i wanna clean it up but dont wanna take his food away. he doesnt go near flakes when i feed them. what would he like?

How does GFO use negatively effect a clam?

Seachem PhosGuard is a non-GFO phosphate remover.

lawnmover blenny can irritate a clam by sitting on it, and sometimes my lawnmover did nip at mantle. however, my copperband butterfly was the worst with attacking the clam. also, the snails. in fact, i can't keep clams because of those tiny killer snails. altimately, my snails and copperband killed my clams.

sorry to hear that BadRoma... lawnmowers are finicky bunch. snails and copperbands will kill clams.
