leaping RCS!

So I was sitting in front of my tank, admiring it when my dwarf gourami gave chase to a RCS. The little shrimp darted towards the top of the tank and darted straight out of the water, out of the tank, and flopped onto the floor right in front of me! Good thing my dog was outside or he would have lapped it up. I gently scooped it back up and put it back in the tank where there were lots of plants for it to hide. Now I think I need to put my glass top back on or lower the water a little.

Now I wonder how many have done the same and ended up either dried up on the floor somewhere or a little snack for my dog.

I occasionally find a dried up shrimp on the rack of tanks that have open tops. I don't think it happens that often but glass tops are cheap.

I just found a dried up Tiger Shrimp on top of one of my tanks today while doing a WC...Poor little feller went on walk about, bad move.

meh, for some reason my don't seem to leap at all, only on very very rare occations
