So I learned my lesson tonight.

Came home to find one of my Female Bettas missing... first thing that came to my head is that she jumped out of the tank. I was right, she was on the floor as dry as a potatoe chip... Rest in Piece... Moral of the story... make sure your lid is on TIGHT... and don't ever say Bettas don't jump.... :angryfire:

So here is my question... I now have 3 female Bettas in a 10 gallon tank. Should I leave it this way or add some fish? Should I add another Betta or two (I understand that if I do add more Bettas, I have to move everything around as to break up the hierarchy that they have formed and so that it will get re-created) or should I get something else in the tank?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

RIP Cellophane Betta... you will be missed.

are you sure it was dead my mother had a betta she kept for years after the jump it had she was at work the betta jumped and it landed on the floor it was real dry she found the dog licking it and it was dry she put it back in the water not knowing if she should flush it after she peeled it up off the floor and ripped the one side and back fin and it survivedthe truama i dont know how it did but it did

Yeah she was defiantly dead... I'm guessing she was there for a good while.

Ah! The magical healing power of dog licks!

Back to the original question. I would keep an eye on them and see if they are getting along OK. If not, as you suggested, it might be better to add more fish to spread out the aggression. If they are getting along, there is no need to add more fish unless you want them.
