leaving for 5 days

Hey guys. I am taking off to go visit my parents in TN for Labor day weekend, I will be away for 5 days. I checked with my friends and neighbors and they are all taking off for the weekend as well so I have no one to stop in and feed the fish. I plan on doing a big water change before I go and making sure the tank is topped off as well. I just am not sure if my boys can go 5 days...

I think they will be just fine. I have left my fish for 2 weeks with out issue in the past.

I agree, they'll be fine. Do a water change before you leave and don't sweat it.

A 5 day fast is just fine...it will help clear out their systems.

I just got back from 5 days away, and all was fine when i returned... have a great trip!

argh- so i did the big water change tonight as my bathroom is getting remodeled starting in the morning and I will have no water. I get it all done and I move one of the big rocks to fix the gravel and those darn kids had shoved all of the bottom feeder wafers underneath it. Had to do the whole tank all over again. grrrr

I think its better if no one touches your tank while your gone. Since when I had my mom care for my tank..... ugh.

lol- I read that post. No one will be going near it. The only thing I worry about is that it will be really noisy here because of the remodel in my bathroom. I am sure they will be fine though (that's what I keep tellin myself at least)
