I recently got a 55 gallon after not having anything for about 5 years. I am mostly doing a rockscape, but am going to but o e wood piece for my bristle nose. I just have the cheap LED's that came with the pet smart setup. Wold these be adequate for a tiny bit of Java moss or java fern. The tank won't get much natural light.

If it's any help, I've got a Top Fin LED hood on my 29g that came with a Top Fin (Marineland) kit I bought 2+yrs ago. It's maintained a few clumps of java fern that I threw in months ago. It's a bright bluish/white light given off by these LEDs.
