Lemonpeel Angel

One of my angel's eyes looks like it is covered in a foggy film. The other eye is fine. The rest of the fish look perfectly fine also.

I have the angel in a 72bow with a flame angel of the same size, 4 small damsels, watchman goby, and a big ol' hermit crab. Checked water conditions about a week and a half ago and everything was fine. Nitrates had bit of a trace but nothing much.

Added some GreenX today just to see if it helps.

Have you ever used that GreenX stuff? If you haven't then don't be surprised when it turns the silicone seals in your tank green-permanently.

You should definately quarrintine the Angel and treat it in a seperate tank. Someone else like OrionGirl will be able to help you with the disease diagnosis, its possible it maybe popeye, but I'm not sure.

Have you seen your angels fighting chasing one another? Its usually bad news if you put 2 dwarf angels in a tank that small. I've heard of people having success with 2 dwarfs but they had a 6 foot tank (at least) and added them at the same time.

Yeah, I've used GreenX in the past...stained the seals and some lace rock that was in the tank kinda blueish. After time it seemed to fade a lil' though.

The only other tank I have is a 135 freshwater tank, so the Lemonpeel is gonna have to stay with the others.

I added the Angels at the same time, and the flame chased the lemonpeel for the first couple of days. After that they seemed to claim opposite sides of the tank. They ignore one another during feeding for the most part. I have about 80lbs live rock stacked up, so they've got plenty of hidin' places.

I had a similar problem with a Koran angel a couple of months ago. However, it did not spread and disappeared in a couple of days. I know this doesn't help much, sorry. Just make sure he keeps eating!

You can try saltwater Maracyn. But read the package first, it may not be good for your inverts.

give em a fresh water dip for 3 mins and watch those disc shaped monogenetic flukes fall off and perish.

I believe this is the same problem I had with a Grey. I really didn't know what to do at the time. Fortunately he was all by himself and I just change the water 3 time in that week. His eye really puffed out when I noticed it but it was only one eye at the time. After about 2 weeks it went back to normal. I didn't use any meds at all.
