Freddy,
I know this for a fact, but some times with cool coloration comes a hefty price. I recently went to a reptile show and looked around and basically geckos were going anywhere from $40-$400. From a nice common pattern to some exotic brightly hughed gem.
You won't see the top end at a store.
The come from breeders only.
Snows go for $1500 each.
Aptors go for $1000 each.
Tangerine Albinos go for $500 each.
Super Hypos go for $250 each.
Stores get basic leopards not the high end ones with genetic potential to create designer morphs and crosses.
The price not only depends upon the morph but also the genetics they carry. It's the potential offspring that drive up the prices since you will make your money back by breeding and selling the offspring or by crossing morphs.
Even a normal looking leo can bring $150-$200 depending upon the recessive genes it carries.

Steve thanks for the info on this. I do appreciate it.
But here is a silly question, I have looked at the sites but what the heck is a Aptor? I am even still confused by Carrot tail. I assume its the shape of the tail. There is a lot of lingo out there for these herps and no explaination on them out there.
