I have been reading many posts lately where members take a post that seems pretty neutral as posts go and insert their negative feelings and thoughts into it. Then another poster will jump in and blast that poster and the next thing ya know a simple post turns into a battle ground. I have found myself drawn into these posts and I too am at fault. This is not what AC is supposed to be about. We are a community of hobbyists who are here to help each other. Let's not lose sight of what brought most of us here in the first place. Let's get back to the business of being helpful and supportive.

I hear ya on this one Que. I had about a 5 month hiatus and was shocked at some of the stuff that i read. People were getting verbally assaulted if they had a tank smaller than a 10g and even worse if they had bad stocking. Long story short, no one was being helpful.

It is difficult to express emotion on the Internet, but it is easy to avoid being nasty.
 
I agree Q. I have been on the receiving end of stuff like that (see the thread about my FW tanks...) and it sucked, made me not want to stay on AC and i got no usable info out of it at all. i try to be helpful, and also try not to be rude (sometimes i slip) and i think others could try a little harder to do the same. Now, we need some smilies to lighten the mod :D :) :dance2: :headbang2: :grinno: :goldfish: :cool: Yea, i know im :screwy:

I'm guilty of having a knee-jerk reaction to a post too, which does nobody any good, including me!

We are all here for the betterment of our fishies and the friendship of our fellow fishy-lovers. We should all be friends! :)
