This one isn't mine. Mine died a glorious death. I loved that car. My wife loved that car. I miss my Shelby.
She had the full leather package. Eight ball on the stick. CD player (hey it was 1988).
With the turbo's wastegate disconnected, I could outrun Z-28s and corvettes at 19 pounds of boost. At 21 pounds of boost, pistons would shoot through the hood.
Now I have a POS Mustang convertible. Of course, it's the only modern mustang in the world with a running pony hood ornament

still doesnt beat the performance of the Audi Q7 V12 TDI though. top nothch luxury and enough HP and tourqe to tow a cement mixer and make that 5,200 lb vehicle go from 0-60 in under 5.5 seconds. may seem like alot from a sedan or coupe point of view, but thats one of the fastest full sized SUVs. and it will get 20 mpg. the Audi R8 or A8 W12 would leave it in the dust too...just wait for the RS8 to come out. that thing is going to have a massive engine and horrible fuel economy. but thats ok when you design cars for a road that has no speed limitActually if you like fast cars, look at this beast due out next year, 725hp street legal mustang:

Availability
The full Super Snake package will be available only through Shelby Automobiles, and of course the 725 horsepower mule won’t come with a warranty (though there will be a 600 horsepower Snake which will). Look to find these sometime around June.

i'll forget the GTI comment.. but MMMMM.. diesel lovin.. cant beat it! 50 miles per gallon and STILL blowing doors off

Are you serious? My mach 1 does-60 in 4.7 seconds and that 725hp shelby is gonna do it a hell of alot faster than that. With that much hp im guessing a 3-3.5 sec 1/4 mile. And you think a 725hp shelby isnt gonna do 0-60in under 5.5 seconds? Are you serious? There are probably 2 things on the planet that will be faster than that shelby, the bugatti veyron and a top notch motorcycle.

the Audi R10 V12 TDI.. 650 HP and 1100 Torque.. HP is but a number.. without torque, HP is nothing.
Well the regular 2008 540hp Shelby is going to have 510 ft.-lbs. of torque, I imagine the 725hp super snake shelby is gonna have quite alot more.
