lets see your tang tank

Good shipping? How was the acclimation?

Those are the two problems I most worry about with these fish...

I was very happy with them. They offer same day shipping and next day shipping. For the same day you can go with fedex or air cargo. I went with the latter as the fishes are shipped in more water and it is actually cheaper (well not really if you factor in the cost of gat to go to the airport).
The fishes were beautifull and they actually sent a couple more of each fish than I ordered (I guess to account for any deaths). All of my fishes (other than the gobies) survived (it has now been over two weeks).
I dripped acclimated each bag of fish for roughly one hour, however my pH parameters were pretty similar (I have 7.8 and the seller has 8.0).
I have no clue why my gobies died. At first I thought I did something wrong as I believed the gobies were more sensitive. I've been told since that cyps and calvuses are actually more sensitive to shipping and acclimation, so I just do not know.
I am wating to find some Kasanga gobies and will dive in again, hopefully with better results.

Thats so good to hear!

I plan on purchasing some cyps in the future but their sensitivity to shipping and acclimation is the major deterrant. I've spoken with various people about their bad experiences but its great that you were able to get some nice stock!

I redid the tank a little new fish arriving thursday :) more females. Im going this weekend to look at a 90g all included tank stand filters etc 300$ so hope it holds water :) so looking at these shots could you suggest sand to replace the gravel ?

and think I should do a background ? I dont want to paint the tank

Sand will be a better choice if the funds are available try to obtain Caribsea sand a better quality of sand the hardest part is deciding which type to get.. I am a fan of the Tahitian black and white sand mix..

Yeah i don't like to paint my backs either def go with a solid color background so you can remove if needed..

Cool post photo's..
I will probably have some tomorrow. I also added a few more plants-a red tiger lotus bulb (had one in my last Tang. tank and it did great) and some cork screw val. I think the Synos I ended up with might be a petricola and 2 multipunctatus

Cool deal my friend i have 7 Syno Multipunct's and i love mine pretty cool cat fo sure

I posted these on another thread when i should have put them here lol well here is the rescape
