LETS TALK GOURAMIS!

I have 8 cherry barbs with my 2 gold gourami in my 46 gallon, and they get along just fine. I have some vals in my tank that are starting to hang over the top of the tank water, and my male gold gourami loves to hang out there. Before the plants, he was always "on patrol" on the front glass, and wouldn't let the female come up front. They both love to eat some zucchini, and the female (you can see her in my avatar -- I think she is female, anyway) will eat about anything -- including nibbling at plants.....

In a 90 gal I have 2 Opaline, 2 Three-spot, 2 Pearls, 1 Gold, and 2 Banded groumis. Most of them are females and have been together for over a year.

In a 10 gal I have a pair of Honeys and in a 20 gal long I have a Opaline and Gold. The 20L is to small for Blues though.

Early on in my fish keeping I had a male and female dwarf gourami. I don't remember how the female died but the male succumbed to some sort of ulcer on his side that wouldn't heal. I kept away from Gouramis for awhile after that. But, this summer I saw some honey gouramis and I decided to try them. I now have 4; 2 females, 2 males. They get along great.
