Doesnt appear to have the colors of a sal........ Can you get a brighter pic? Maybe even a washed out pic with the flash would help.

lightened it up a bit.

Sorry, I have a crappy camera.

He does get quite colorful at times but dull at others...

I'm 100% sure it's a Nandopsis Salvini. It's just not showing breeding coloration at this time. I've enhanced the 1st photo a bit more.

yea, now I can see the red and the shape of the head. It does look like a Salvini
