Levamisole hydrochloride

Great post. I managed to get myself a 100 gr. bottle of it. Thanks for the post, I would feel lost if I got the dewormer and don't know how to dose it

Yeah, sure I'll keep you folks updated. I have a sick rummynose that has the worm. I ordered a gram scale online. Hopefully it comes fast

I dosed my quarantine tank today.

That red line on the anus is actually fish's dropping. I feed my fish red brine shrimp flakes, so the dropping is bound to be red. Do you guys see how flat the stomach is? That's the problem, and I'm trying to help it regain it's stomach back.

5g with 3oz of water mixed. Each ml is for 10 gallons.

It seems that I can go beyond 1ml. I overdosed to 5ml without lethal affects during speculation. The fish didn't hide, nor easily get frightened. My rummynose tetra is getting better and so are my Blue rams. Hooray!

Does anyone know if you can use Levamisole hydrochloride and use an anti-biotic at the same time? My discus apparently have Camallanus (red wormy mass protruding from butt). They also have two or three symptoms of bacterial infection (cloudy eye rim in one, slightly ragged fins in both).

By the way, this summer 2015 I bought Levamisole (Levamed) in California at a Western Feed Store. Others have found it at Tractor Supply. It is officially a swine and sheep worming medicine.

There is a thorough article on using Levamisole with dwarf cichlids and catfish in a planted tank with inverts at
http://www.zebrapleco.com/articles/4_treatment_camallanus_worms.php (but it doesn't address anti-biotics).
