Sounds like what I have to do to get my change back at 7 eleven here in the bay area (california). give me change for a hundred not a 20 (slide fingers across each other and show in fingers how much change I should get back) or I'll beat you up(make fist and point at cashier)

Anyhow, show me a rock with string, and I'm thinking parakeet anchor.
 
Wow, I'm actually shocked it took the Rock w/ String (In assorted colors) so long to make it here to this forum.

I've been using some that I got as gifts a few years ago all along, I just thought they were commonplace. My family is full-blooded Italian, and has been using Rock w/ String for years now for non-aquaria purposes, so adapting it to the hobby seemed an easy option to consider.

Basically, whenever one of my fish stops moving and floats to the surface of my tank, I attach "Rock w/ String (tm)" and use it to submerse my pesky immobile and nonfunctional pet back down to a respectable depth. Place them in the current and it looks like they're happily (albeit upside down often) resuming their happy little lives post-mortem.

An old family recipe to keep things from surfacing in the river that you needed to "get rid of".

Hey, the whole "he sleeps with the fishes" thing works on FISH too? Yes, yes it does.

Okay.....I've noticed all the avatar changes around here to "rocks with strings" and thought what the heck is going on...then I found this thread

All I have to say about this is- Are you people nuts???? Wasting all this time and energy posting this stuff. There is much better stuff you could be doing with your time. Come on...become more productive citizens. Don't you know that your local patent office has limited hours and if you aren't in line first thing in the morning some one else could patent and trademark your ideals??? I personally would like to know who is going to put together a web based shop where people from all over can order and buy this stuff ? I REALLY think I need at least 6 Rocks with strings, 3 or more stick with bricks, and a few of the rings. Yet can I find it in a web search....NO! Come on guys, quit playing around and do something productive. While you all "TALK" about this my poor fishies are doing without! You should all be ashamed of yourselves.

Ok, I am really feeling left out here, gotta go learn how to use PS so I can make me a new avatar. BTW - Did anyone ever get any REAL pics of the new "rock with string"? I am really hoping to see one!
