You guys are hilarious. I am actually sitting here with tears in my eyes from laughing so hard at the mental image of an Oscar with his nose to a rock with purple string hanging out of his bum. :laugh:
yeah I thought that too, but then I could just imagine all the ERFA (equal rights fishes advocates) causing this huge uproar because of leaving them out of all these great inventions just becuase of their size! :joke:
I used some button wrap cotton thread -- that I use on my bead loom -- to tie some pelia to driftwood. I knew the thread would dissolve over time, which is why I used it, but I had no idea my rainbowfish would try to eat it or that it would dissolve so quickly!
I just put the string wrapped driftwood and pelia in the tank on 12/29 and today, there's Rina, swimming around the tank with string hanging out of her butt! She passed it okay, and after trying to remove some of the rest of the string, I really think there isn't much of a danger. It fell apart into tiny tiny pieces.
But still, I wonder if it could cause an impaction and death in some other fish.
