Just wondering if anyone has any rec for LFS in CT. I live east of the river. I've been to Wet Pets in Vernon. Any others you like?

My two favorites are Ballouville Aquarium, and Putnam Pet Store. PPS is 3 minutes from my house, and will be getting most of my business. But for the strange and different, BA is the way to go. Sounds like you are closer to Hartford than I am though. I'm right near the RI line in Putnam, CT. There are quite a few in RI that I know of also. I haven't been to any yet, but plan on it soon enough.
I live east of the river so anything from Hartford to Vernon is okay. Putnam is quite a ride for me. Anybody else?
my LFS is Guppies to Puppies in old saybrook. they're super nice in there. i havent had time to check out some others since i just moved to the area. check out the yellow pages

Exotic Fin and Feather Super Pet is in East Hartford on Silver Lane. Big store, has pretty much everything.
Puppy Center in I believe West Hartford also has a very big selection.
A little further away is James Tropical Fish in Indian Orchard Mass (Springfield) and an excellent place for Saltwater is Aqua Dreams on Rt 57 in Feeding Hills Mass.
Oh yeah, in Vernon if you are looking for freshwater, Animal City periodically has some interesting fish.

Funny, about a year ago, I had same issue at super pet. My girlfriend wanted a tank for her birthday that she saw there. I asked the price, they said $370. Two days later, I went there with a truck and they told me no, it was $570. After a minor complaint, we left. Called James Tropical and they gave me tank for $400 with no problem.
Other than that one time, no real complaints from either place.
