Someone was asking me if I knew of any good fish stores in South Florida. I am from Miami originally, so I ought to know, but left when I was 19 and not into fish quite...yet :)

So, does anyone know of any? She keeps freshwater fish.

Tell them to go to any local ditches or ponds and they'll get all the fish they need. The hurricanes caused most of the S. Florida fish farms to overflow their outdoor (and some indoor) breeding ponds so there's an abundance of fish in all the waterways down there. LOL

Here's the LFS that carry Dr. Tim's products... which I would trust as some of the better LFS'... click on the Florida link.

I see this one in Miami but since you lived down there, you might recognize something closer.

This link is to local Aquarium Societies/Clubs in Florida and at the bottom, there is a link to LFS. I don't see any listed in Hialeah but I know there are MANY cities in the metro Miami area. I would imagine they built the list based on suggestions from the local aquarium societies/clubs since the list doesn't look like something found with a Google search.

Thanks Lenny, I already sent her that FINS link and told her about the societies. I know many people do go dipnetting, in fact the Gold Coast Aquarium Society is known for this, but she asked for store recommendations, so...;)

I'll let her know about Exotic Aquariums and Global Oceanic Life, though!
