LFS selling driftwood by the pound... concerns?

Personally would not buy used DF. Who know what it may went thru?

Locally, med size DF goes for $16/piece. On a lucky day (the day lfs receives sackful of DF., I would get beautiful pieces a5 $16/pc)

$8/lb seems way too much, IMO.

I buy all my driftwood at a local landscaping store, large pieces without the large price tag

Honestly, i didnt take measurements or a picture, but it was a nicely sized piece.. it was malaysian driftwood.

I am going to another LFS called Aquatouch. I emailed the owner and he said they carry nice pieces for decent prices.

around here, I hae seen decent sized driftwood sold for $18-$30. $80 sound very unreasonable to me especially when you don't know where that drift wood came from. Even for a very large piece of driftwood, $80 seems a lot too.
