Ok so the lightbulb over my 5.5 gallon (houses my two male mystery snails, both guys) totally just exploded.... No idea why. Normal bulb, normal...well everything. Anyway, the golden one in there i guess had one of the pieces of glass chip a piece off of his shell.. Its not deep or anything, just long. It doesn't go all the way through his shell. Do i need to start adding a liquid calcium to his water or just feed him tons of calcium until it repairs. wait, will it even repair itself?
ph is well over 8, i think it is around 8.3. can't be sure tho its off the charts (always has been) and i feed snail biscuits, snail jello, fresh baby spinach, orange, banana, zuchini, many other things, too many to list.
So what do i need to do for it to grow back properly? I checked and made sure that there is no glass embedded in him, i think it just glanced off his shell...
thanks
