light for a planted tank

I have a 40 gal tank. Is 192 watts to much for my tank? or is that good? Will the power of this light hurt my fish?

No, that's a good lighting for a 40 gallon, planted tank. Quite good in fact. It will not hurt the fish. Just don't leave it on 24/7!

That is definatley on the high end of light output. Youl need plenty of C02 and lots of plants to use up all that light otherwise youll have major algae outbreak on your hands. I believe your fish should be fine as long as they have some shaded areas that the plants provide.

Yeah, watch the amount of time you leave it on. A good timer wouldent hurt.
