hi everybody!
i just got a big tank for my RES .. so please can you suggest me which type of light i need for them .. and ideas how could i fix on mytank .. as its just open from the top... ??

Well you'll need a basking light that will keep your basking spot between 85-90 degrees. You'll also need a light that puts out a UVB spectrum.

when I had my turtles inside, I used a zoomed floating turtle dock, and used an 18" ESU Reptile slimline fixture for the UVB bulb, and a clamp worklight from Home depot with a 60w incandescent bulb clamped to the side of the tank for heat over the basking area.

yes i know everything about it .. thething i dont know is the light and the way i can put it on the tank ... could you please give me a web link where i can buy the light stuff .. thanks

I also only feel like working a tiny bit, so search for these sites: Dr Foster and Smith, Big Als Online, and aquarium pros

As I said before, the UVB can just sit on top of the tank over the basking area, and the clamp light (just need a regular incandescent bulb in there for heat) can clamp onto the side of the tank and shine on the basking area.

Yep, it doesn't get much easier then that! :)
