light required for 19-20 inch depth

this tank is 38 gallons

the flourite is 4 inches deep

i was planning to get a 96W flourescent light assembly.

will this be enough to grow bunch plants,

if not, what should be used ?

That’s 2.5 watts per gallon and that will be good if the distance from the top of the water to the gravel is approx. 16"

96 watt CF are 34 inches long add an inch for the end fitting and that's 35" just make sure your tank is long enough.

If you went with two 55w CF you could get a better spread on your light (one toward the front and back)
