I have been looking online for a timer that will work with my lighting. I have a MH/PC w/ led moon lights, that totals 4 plugs, 3 day and 1 night. I would like to stager the power compacts and then have the mh on for 7 hours then stager the power compacts off and led moon light on. However all the light timers I have found only have 4 outlets 2 day and 2 night. Will this work? Or do I need at least 3 day 1 night. Does anyone have any suggestions? Do I just need to go and get 2? thanks

Here is an example of what I found

I use multiple single outlet timers. It costs more than the item you showed, as our reef tank has 3 of them on it, but it's easy to do what you're describing with individual timers (and should cost less than buying two of the item shown). If you buy the digital style timers, many of them have a built-in, self-charging battery back-up, which means no corrections needed after a power outage (unlike the timers with the big dial on them and the pins to move up / down).

The coralife power strip timer is junk. I had one and over a few weeks it would get off by 5-10 minutes. In the end if you buy a bunch of digital timers its cheaper to get an AquaController Jr for $250 or so. Not to mention that it will turn devices on and off by temp as well. Takes up less space than a bunch of timers as well.
