Lighting a 65G

well i was thinking two 70 watt lamps hung over the aquarium.Would that be better than 210W of PC
EDIT:i already have an AH supply 2x55W PC lights so all i would need is another if i went that route but i was going to go rimless and i think these would look bulky.Though the MH i think would make alot of glare and spillage

I would go with the 2 70watt over 210PC. But if I was lighting a new tank, I would go with T5, say 2-3 54watt bulbs. The spread is better, and they run alot cooler, plus you have the advantage of running a mix of bulbs, to what suits your eyes/plants.

MH don't apply to the WPG?Also how hot would these run?

They can heat the water a bit, if they are close enough. Wouldnt be a problem if your fish room is air-conditioned or naturally cool.

MH and anything not T12 doesnt really apply to the WPG rule.

then i might have to reconsider MH since its in an upstairs bedroom and the room gets in the 90 during summer. So know my question is how do i hang those ahsupply 55W kits?

why dont you want to go for t-5? in the end will pay almost the same as for a 2x55 ahsupply with bulbs

though if you want to hang ahsupply then you can make a box to hold the light. Paint it black or w/e.. might not look pretty but will work.
