I have a tank listed below, you can see my pictures in my album, but I currently have 2 -18" Florecent strip lights end to end because of teh custom lid it does not quite allow me to do a 48". Anyways which one of these type lights will give me a more clean deeper water look with some blue light to make the colors stand out more. Or should I go with something different. Here is the links to the two different ones I am thinking of choosing from!

on my 120gal i have the light it came with which is 60" and the bulb is 48" i also added another 48 " fixture and placed it behind the original one i have the coralife 10,000K lamp in the front and the coralife true actinic in the back one, but i dont use the canopy because all of the getting my arms inside this tank would be a royal pain to keep taking it off, your 120gal is a high one right, any rate the combo of my lights looks pretty cool with this setup..

Yes it is NOT a long a narrow one. It is tall thick and deep. Thaks for the advice. I just want it to look the BEST it can.

Yes I glues them previous to adding sand. ONLY because my last setup prior to moving collapsed adn was a pain with them digging. I am looking to add some other dimension to the tank but unsure what to do yet. DO you think because I have a plexiglass instead of glass that it effects the lighting?

it shouldnt with the plexiglass or unless it gets really scratched up of algae covered or just fades pretty badly i always stick with glass tops..

Ya I am gonna get one after the holidays foudn one for my tank for around $65.00 so we will see.
