Lighting..does anyone know

Good, now you'll have more flexibility. Actinics are ok if you like the way it makes your fish look. (& when you decide to go real plants someday you can switch them out, lol)

There's probably a switch for the moonlights, maybe on the cord, I don't know that brand.

Lol yeah that's also why I got them. The flexibility is great..that's why I even almost bought a 4 bulb lighting fixture (too much $$ tho).

And the company is solormax but I think the moonlights run 24/7 to stimulate the always presence of light in the real world  lol

I'm sure others may disagree with my opinion but I've had several aqua-light brand lights. The quality is terrible and they tend to stop working within a year or so. At least its been that way with all 5 I've had. I had the exact same light the OP posted only the 4 foot version and they are horribly overpriced for what you get. One of the moon lights didn't work out of the box. As far as PC v. T5 i have a pair of Current USA PC strips that I've used on full reef setups with SPS and LPS growing just fine. They have been used non stop for about 3 years now. Mine are high wattage also though. (4 x 130w) If you really want T5 current USA makes a strip with those also with legs to raise it above the top of the tank about 8 inches. If your going just for fish you would be fine with some t-8 $9 shop lights from walmart as someone else mentioned.
