i know a bit outa place but is 25w double bulb flouresent light for a 40gallon low lighting???
 
25x2 is 50, not 40. lol.
 
Oh never mind I didnt see he wrote less. I thought he wrote that is one wpg. My fault. Sorry.

What does this mean, Andrew? The OP was asking if 2 25-watts light tubes are high enough for the 40 gallons.

I think he might have been responding too Melowvision saying that it would be less than 1wpg when clearly 2x25 is 50 (40 would be 1 wpg)?

is this a 40 long? I have a 40g long (4') tank and I just used a 4' twin tube shoplight over it. The bulbs are overdriven 2x approximately 100W of light (but no good reflector) and its a low tech tank.
