Lighting for a Hex

Hello, thanks for reading, i just got a 35 gal hex for free today , i also have a 10 gal tank, witch the lighting is the same size as the top of the hex tank, Q; will it be ok to use the lighting system from the 10 gal for the hex tank, it is incandestant, 2 * 25watt bulbs, if this works then it would save me about 100$ CAN, thanks,the hex is 20in deap, please let me know??????????????????

plants? If you will be having any sort of live plants incandescent is worthless. Also incandescent may mess with temperature. I would say invest in a flourescent.

can you swap the standard bulbs out for the energy saver bulbs? compact fluros look like a little spiral. there about 8$ each and come in lots of wattages and kelvin ratings.
