Well my good deal 92 gallon corner tank came with all the equipment it had at the store, except a little Metal halide light it was running with. That went back to the original owners of the light.

I am thinking about getting myself a 150 halide, because this tank needs some penetration being relatively deep. It is 48" across at the widest point, but quickly narrows down because of the odd shape.

Any suggestions as to a halide I should look at? Or has anyone done something better I should consider? The tank came with a 2 bulb t5 fixture, that is about 30"-36" long, I'll have to measure it when I get home.

Here is what I was looking at, but it is expensive. :bling:

I was thinking about a DIY t5 solution, but I couldn't find any reasonably priced kits.

Thanks for your ideas!

I like the Fishneedit.com fixtures too, I have the 70watt unit over a 29gal, it was my test purchase and the quality is nice, and you cant beat the price.

Thanks, I was worried about the quality of a light that is that inexpensive. You don't notice any flickering or weirdness about it?

Then I wonder how much light to get, the 250, or just the 150. I think I will probably go with the 250, since it will be mounted fairly high, and some light is going to be lost around the tank anyway.
