so if most corals prefer lights on the blue side of the spectrum and freshwater plants prefer lights on the red side, what lighting marine plants(micro algae) prefer?
Being that all such plants only grow in somewhat shallow or very shallow reef areas, anything in the 6500k to 12,000K range should be fine. Intensity is also important, amongst other things.
I agree with Charles on this. The corals actually prefer towards the more yellow spectrum but humans tend to prefer the whiter or bluer casts of the mid to high spectrum. The algae should do fine with the same.
fluffys still alive and eating (squid now) but his behavior is compairable to a zombie :/ i do get to watch him crawl back and forth across the tank walls at night though.
