lighting help

BTW, you are online early this morning. I think it's 6:45 in Ontario. It's 4:45 in El Paso.

Yeah I'm always online early as I don't sleep at night hahahha I only sleep 6 hours every weekdays sometimes less lmao, and sleep 10-12 hours every weekends lmao...

The LED is always on. AThe fan and LED both have independent power supplies. Current should have engineered them so they use the same power. You could unplug the LED in the daytime.
I don't bother because I read that the life of an LED is 30,000 hours or so.
Remember, that was one thing I didn't like about the fisture.
Mine has four wires feeding the hood.

ahhh cool for the separate wires... and not cool for lots of wires. means I will need lots of extension for this fixture, but I'm imagining that the LED effect looks nice :S

I think i'll go for it.. thanks for all the info. you provided buddy!

Great looking aquascape. What's in the mesh net? Java moss.
Here are some shots of my 46G:

The DD Black angels are now 6" tall fin to fin,

Thanks! the one at the bottom is riccia fluitans, and the one above the rock is pellia.

Checked your aquarium photos... it's looking good ... and liked the angels you have there... what kind of angels are those? I have two "Koi" Angelfish

They are double dose black, super veil angelfish. A lot of folks on this forum say they are difficult to raise. I did have trouble one morning. Some were swimming sideways and doing loops. I did a WC, added an airstone ant they are fine now. I think they are sensitive to CO2 so I cut it back a little.

I do a 50% WC every other day and they seem fine.
Their appetite is tremendous and they take cichlid pellets from my fingers. When I feed frozen food, I first put it in a clear glass of water till it thaws. Then I submerse the glass in the tank, some of them actually swim into the glass to get at the food. They are a lot of fun.

6 angels in a 46gal? What are you going to do when they pair or get to their full-sizes?
