i'm a little bit confused with lighting and I really need help with it in my 29gallon

I have the following bulbs right now:
a 18w 6,200k 1030lm 57lm/w florescent tube light
A T8 2,700k 1350lm 75lm/w florescent tube light

I wanna know which 1 would be much effective for plants and could having just 1 be enought for a 29g.
:1zhelp:

t8 bulbs are not the more efficient bulbs to use for plant growth due to the poor wattage they give out. But if you would go with them over your 29g tank, I would have atleast 3 of the 18w bulbs.

But then comes the other question.. which plants do you plan on growing? Ferns/anubias/crypts, you would be able to keep alive with two 18w bulbs, for them to flourish, you would need a bit more than that.

i have bacopa ludwigia a fern and some swords in my 10 gal which is by a window (tank is doing great, the plants grow really fast and the water temp isn't a problem except when i accidentally forget to timer the air con at night)

I plan to mass produce them in the 29 and im thinking whether to upgrade my lighting or just place it in a better lit area which would save me some money or time to make a better whatever you call it for the lights.
Also with my filter media on top its kinda hard to find space for 3 bulbs....

BTW algaes not my problem even if its beside the window they just grow on the glass anyway or rocks and not on the plants.

Those plants should do fine with that light. I would upgrade the lower "k" bulb to 6500-7500k. I have my stock Aqueon lights on my 29, and I grow a lot of different plants successfully, including the ones you have. I would also consider hygrophilas, as they grow really well in lower light conditions as well.

BTW my 10 gal has a 10 watt 25000k bulb although I usually just turn it on when its cloudy or rainy. it doesn't grow them at all after an experiment i had for 5 days

I also have 2 plants which i have no idea what they are called ones growing great while the other one mehh...

Plants are weir like that sometimes. I can grow all sorts of plants in my 29 with the stock light and gravel substrate. But wisteria and watersprite will NOT grow in there at all. They just die off. They do, however, grow in my 10 gallon, which is also stock light and gravel substrate. Go figure....
