I have a 54 gallon saltwater tank with two tr perculas in it. My goal as a fish keeper is to eventually have live rock and an anemone for my clowns. My only problem is lighting, how much and what kind is needed for live rock? how much and what kind is needed for an anemone?

Sorry, I can't really answer your question but I just wanted to give you some advice.

Make sure you don't get too strong of a light or leave it on too long in the day time..doing that may cause algae problems and can over heat the tank..if you don't get the correct light.

5 watts per gallon of Power compact lighting would be fine for live rock - but higher wattage, preferably metal halide lighting is needed for anemones. Keep in mind that the vast majority of anemones in captivity fair very poorly in captivity. Your clowns don't need an anemone to be happy and thrive. I've had clowns that are happy to tuck into certain corals, like hammer and bubble corals. Good luck!

Anemone Lighting

Live Rock,,id Do A Mix Of 10,000k And Actic Blue,,mabe The 50/50 Lights But Seperate Is Better. 3 To 5 Watts A Gallon Good For Lr
However,,,clown Aka Pacific Anemone Need Great Lighting,,the Macro Doreensis Aka Lta Is A Good Starter As Is The Bubble Tip. If They Settle In The Top Area Of Tank,,no More Than 10 Inches Below Surface,,mabe 6 To 10 Watts Per Gallon Pc Would Work,,,otherwise Metal Halide Hqi.....also Your Water Needs To Be Great,, 0 Am,0 Trites, And Trates Less Than 10,,along With Phos Less Than 1,,,besides This,,keep Only 1 Kind Of Anemone In A Tank Yer Size Or You Will Have Chemical Warfare 24/7.....carbon Can Help With This..
