Lighting Upgrade

Yup, that is what drove me crazy with using the Icecap 660 for my T5's. One bulb would blow and none of the lights would work. So if one bulb is acting strange for you it would cause the entire bank to act the same.

Still, it sounds like either of the 2, connection or bulb, and both of those are a much cheaper and easier fix than swapping to a MH. Although I do like how MHs look compared to T5s myself... so personal preference plays a role in your decision as well. :)

Thanks a lot guys, I will do as you suggested. ACE my "current" setup is the 72in Aquatic Life T5 unit. I had mentioned before to my LFS owner that the moonlight LED have a very nice "rippling" or shimmering effect in the water. He prior had suggested trying the MH, but also had said the T5s were more than adequate for my tank so I got the T5 fixture. I'll see, if I can find someone locally who wants a used fixture, I still may try for the MH lighting.....or wait another year or two for the pricing on LEDs to come down! Right now that fixture is >3K$$$ :22_yikes:
