I like most people in the hobby are never satisfied with my equipment. I switched my eclipse hood for a current satellite 65 watt fixture. I want something that will be good for my bulb tip anemone. I would like suggestions for lights. I have a 29 gallon aquarium. Remember i dont want it to cost an arm and a leg and i would prefer one with a lunar lamp. thank you.

I mean brands

Like coralife and stuff. What about that aquadirect company or it is something like that are they any good? I have never heard of their brands.

lights!

I am using the coralife deluxe compact flourescents. It has 4x65w 6700k bulbs, this gives me 3.5w/gal on my 75g. The bulbs lasts up to 2 years and are inexpensive to run and replace compared to HID or even t8 or t12's. Not too sure where you live but here is a real cheap site in Canada. J & L Aquatics They have a double light switch and built in fans.

Good luck,

Regards,
Terry.

thank you for the reply

I live in Arkansas. Does the coralife have a lunar light? I am also trying to keep some corals do you think it will have enought watts and blue light for anemones and some corals?
Thanks
Casey

Well depending on what you intend to keep Current USA makes several nice Power Compact features.

The "Orbit" Model with 1-Dual Daylight/1-Dual Actinic(2X65W + 2Lunar lights) are priced as followed:
24" approx $160
30" approx $170

Now if you plan to keep some of the more light demanding corals or anenomes
The "Outer Orbit" model has a 150W 10K HQI-MH, 2x65W Dual Actinic, and 4 Lunar lights at a nice price of approx. $350.

On a note I persoanlly have never used these lights but have seen them used and have never heard any negative on them. In fact I am leaning toward the Outer Orbit pacakge for a Nano setup that I am planning.
