What size tank? How long has the tank been established? Test your water. What is the Ph, NH, NO2, and NO3? Once we have this info, we'll be able to help.

40gal tank, ph-8.4, temp stays 75-76 range, sg-1.021, nitrite, close to zero, nitrate, around 10ppm

my yellow tang is alright, so are all the other inverts in the tank. so far i have fed him two gold fish, which were pretty big for him i guess, after he ate, you could see the buldge in his stomache, could it be that those gold fish made him sick, he has been swimming around on the top for maybe ten hours now.

Dont feed it gold fish, they are not healthy for any SW fish because they cant metabolise the fatty acids FW fish have very well. What you should feed it are marine bait fishes like silver sides and similar marine food.

The goldfish skulls will also block the digestive tract.

so will he recover from his sickness, and what are other good marine foods for him, silver sides are rather hard to get here, are rosey reds any good?

You might also try to get him to move to prepared foods. Maybe get a feeding wand/stick to entice him into eating shrimp and the like?

You can also try going to your local super market and purchasing a bag of mix sea food (shrimp, scallops, squid etc.) but make sure its not cooked or have any spices and junk on them , just plain raw frozen , and if you can buy some silver sides from your LFS ,mix these two together and you got him a nice healthy meal right there :D .

Good advice, the silversides really are the proper base diet here.
You can order them online from several sources, so if the mail delivers to your location you're good to go. You can supplement with krill and other frozens but even krill should not be used exclusively; variety is the key here. Try to feed a different food every time, rotate three or four items if possible and underfeed, underfeed, underfeed for a healthy/happier lion.
