Hi guys! I hope you can help me! I still remember AC with its old look hehe. This is the best website ever.

Anyways, I have a 40 gallon tank, all cycled and everything looks good: Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate. I added a small lionfish on last week and it ate live guppies. However, today it was next to a rock with cloudy eyes and fins were starting to look torn.

Yesterday, the temperature rose to 83 F so I dunno if that caused it. Normally my tank is around 78-80. ANything I can do to save the poor fellow?

I am new to Marine fish and boy I would hate losing expensive fish.

Thanks

I was feeding it small live white mountain clouds since they were 100 for $5 at the LFS. I tried feeding pellets and shrimp to no avail but it ate the fish happily.

However, it stopped eating today and just an hour ago, it was upside down but I helped turn it back. The eye is still cloudy and it looks bad....

White mountain clouds are fresh water minos, and FW fish reflect poorly on the health of SW fish, which is why you should feed SW to SW fish (silver sides are SW fish that are often used for preditory fish like Lions, other types of Marine bait fish work as well)
