Liquid CO2 by product?

I've been daily dosing API CO2 booster now for over 2 weeks and my plants are growing well and algae seems to be better controlled. But I have noticed significantly more clear film floating on the water surface. Is this a breakdown product of the glut?

I've been adding glut to my planted 10 and 55g for months. Started with API, now use another, but never noticed a film. very little surface agitation on either tank.

Maybe it's residue from the algae that it's killing. I remove it with paper towel for the time being.

Try smaller doses of the Co2

I only have a few plants so I'll cut back to 1ml per day for my 34G. I'm going to order this doser to make this hassle free for me.
