Haha! Tiny little bugs are about 20 strong on each side of glass in my 39 gallon. I hope they are copepods/amphipods so that I can get a Mandargin Goby soon or some other cool dragonette.

I got some new LR in the last week. My tank has been up for about a month. Anyone have experience with this type of stuff?

Sorry, you don't have a big enough space to keep him alive. I wouldn't even try it without at least a 75 gallon with 110 lbs of high quality live rock. Most of them won't train to eat anything but cope's , little live micro crustacians and maybe a few worms. They are real neat I know but, I don't think that I'd try with a 39.
Sorry

you can have mandarins in a 30 gallon - as long as you have millions of copepads to feed him and no one else in the tank to compete with him for copepods.

makaiveli, you need AT LEAST 6 months for a tank to even mature to a level that could handle a mandarin and thats assuming that you have LOTS of copepads for him to eat. Most mandarins in captivity die because people don't realize that they ALWAYS eat. After YOU feed them they are still hungry - which is where the copepods come in. they can eat the copepods and don't have to worry about you not being there to feed them.

I'm going to soon order me a pod farm so I can have a good supply my Goby.

Ben

Yeah my buddy Phil recommends a sump with some big green algae with a syphon to the main tank to keep pods active.

I have around a hunded little bugs in the tank now. and no one else eating them as far as I know. Peppermint shrimp? Porcelain Crab? Clownfish?

I want millions of copepods
