While doing some tank maintence today I discovered a one month old platy baby. Or at least I think that is how old it is. Exactly one month ago today my platy had babies and I put those babies (2) in a breeding trap, well a week later I couldn't find any babies so I thought they were dead, eaten, etc...
Today while I was getting ready to clean the tank I saw this small orange and black baby. I couldn't believe it. My tank does have plants but I wouldn't call it heavily planted. In fact it is far from it. Well anyway it was kind of a strange surprise because I was sure that my other fish would have eaten any babies left undiscovered by me. Especially since the other fish consist of angelfish, gourami, clown loaches, plecos as well as platys and a swordtail.
Just thought I would share my expierence with all of you.
