Well I finally planted my tank. Keeping my fingers crossed. I bought like 6 plants...my wisteria wouldn't stay rooted in my 37g tall tanks so I pitched it. Anyways, since I have put in the plants, my fish have gone nuts!! They are so hyper they keep zipping around the tank like bullets.

I am just curious as to why the addition of real plants have made my fish go wild. It's quite funny actually. :joke:

It's just funny to me that they didn't get excited when I added new fake plants...just the real ones. They probably appreciate that the real ones look way better than the fake ones.

Also, when you add or change the decor in your tank it can throw off the pecking order among your fish, so that they can be more active or agressive as they explore what to them is an entirely new tank.

In my experience, most live plants that you buy at a LFS come with a whole buffet of tasty snacks. Mine came with worms, snails, snail eggs, algae, and so on. My guppies were in heaven. Although they never stop eating, they weren't looking at the flakes for days :D.
