Live plants - should I try it?

Well there have been a lot of good ideas given so far. If your looking for easy plants Most of the floating plants are a good option. Duckweed is the easiest grown plant ever. It grows so well that you can almost never get rid of it. Water Lettuce is a better option, But it grows almost as fast as duckweed. Guppy grass (Najas guadalupensis) Is another easy to grow plant. You could also go the moss route. Java moss attachd to driftwood looks real nice. The list goes on and on, But your best bet is to start with the easier low light plants and work your way up. There is nothing more heartbreaking than spending a lot of money on new lights, ferts, CO2, ect ect and having all your plants die.

RE:
I bought the seeds from wal-mart and petco, simply just throw them in the tank and they grow extremely well. Not so much work involved
.

I just returned a package of plant bulbs today at Petco. Did some research on the different plants and actually found that a few of them have to have a dormant period, where you take them out and let them sit somewhere for awhile, otherwise they will just die back in the aquarium.
Thought I'd mention that in case it happens to anyone and they don't know why.
I've had great luck with red crypts (Cryptocoryne wendtii) in low light. Very hardy and easy.
