Just was looking through some of my old pics, and found these of my LR when I first got it. This is direct from the reef, and into my tank the same day, no die off, no smell, just lots of living stuff.

Unfortunately not. A couple of tangs, and a few years generally changes they way they look. I placed these under 2x 250watt MH's, it was about 150 pounds (I think that is the right conversion 80kg), it certainly looked really good for many years. I am going to order another 2 cases (about 20kg each), and I will rotate them with the new sump. I really had forgot how good it looked.

ISP was down, should work now.

Well, they were certainly some lovely looking live rock, it just shows you the difference of what it looks like on the reef, compared to our tanks...

My opinion, the rock direct from the reef looks far more healthy..

i want some!!!

if LR looked like that i bet it's cost an arm and a frekin leg at an LFS:mad2:

ah now i can see them, That some NICE rocks I would almost pay 10 $/lbs on somthing like that.

It was AU$200 for a case of approx 20kg, I got 4 box's. It was collected, packed and airfreighted the same day and I picked it up from the airport. Once it hits the LFS tanks it is never the same. Conversions, so 44 pounds per box, and at current conversion that equals US$162 which is about US$3.68 per pound... I think.
