i was wondering if anyone knows of any good lfs that sell live rock, somewhere around albany, montreal, or burlington vt. thanx guys

There are 3 places in the capital district. Something's fishy in Scotia, Union Aquarium in Schenectady, and Eddie's Aquarium in Latham. They all sell LR for around $7-8 per lb.

thanx! any of them have a web site? i would be coming from plattsburgh ny, about a 2 hour drive from albany

hehe, like i said, i would be coming from 2 hours away, so i was thinking of buying a few pounds, maybe enough to fit in a 5 gallon bucket. would i need to bring my own water to store them in?what do they have in stock now. anything worthwhile?

is there live rock normally nice? the live rock thats sold up here thats 8$ a pound tends to have almos no hitchhikers on it what so ever. i bought 2 pounds at 10.50, discounted because im a good customer, it was originally 13.99 lb. it is very nice though, tons or coraline algea, anemones, and cant wait to see what else is on it. so i guess im asking you if you would drive two hours for it :)

thanx

I can't say, I've never bought from them, and it's hard to spot hitchhikers while you are in the store, they all look very good though. You can def see feather dusters and coralline algae.
