live rock

True about the purple growing in shade. I added some rock today, and did some re-arranging. The bottoms of the exsisting rock (parts that were buried in the sand)were solid purple coraline.

I have 130watts of PC over my 20 and the purple coraline grows everywhere; on snails' shells, hermits' shells, glass, rocks, heater, temp probe, filter tubes...etc

how do you get coralline algae off of your aquarium glass without scratching the glass?

I just picked up a Kent Proscraper, it's about 12' long with an angled head, and removable scraper end. It's made entirely of some sort of plastic, and the scraper end is some sort of hard plastic. It took the algae of the glass like nothing, and being plastic won't scratch the glass, well that's what they sell as a feature.
