Living conditions for dwarf mexican crays

Great photos; beautiful CPOs! :)

thanks :)

Awesome!! Now I can see the photos of your CPO's..:grinyes:..very cute crays's!!! Looks like they have a very nice home too!!

You can assist the crays with a snail dinner. I crush the Malaysian Trumpet snails (MTS's) that litter my tanks and drop them into the cray tanks. My CPO's get very aggressive toward each other as they L-O-V-E the snails and I can't crush them fast enough ( I use the tops of my large tweezers to crush the snails) !! They are able to get the snail meat in baby snails but not from the adults.

thanks
i give them ordinary pond snails every few days. i grow the snails in a few jars over my fridge to feed my loaches (butia shadmonsky if u know it)
they now live in my Neocaridina denticulata tanks untill their`s will be finished. we dont get a regular supply of CPO`s here so when i saw them at a reasonable cost i bought a few without thinking :)
i split them to 2 small tanks (2G and 3G) with plenty of hiding places until my new JEBO338 will finish cycling.

I have mine in a 7.6+ set-up. I feed them shrimp pellets/algae wafers (they don't like the algae wafers as much) and blackworms when I have them. Gonna start feeding them frozen bloodworms and see what that does to them.

Once in a while I try to feed the CPO's a wax worm and the crays sometimes eat the head or tip of the tail and then they are done. Drop it and walk away or carry it off into the mosses for a midnight snack and fouled water.
