I have a dojo loach, but i was wondering if putting two kuhlis with him would be ok?

dojo=coldwater
kuhlis=tropical
and kuhlis are more active when they have a few buds in the tank (4+)
so depending on youre water temprature yore kuhlis will either get sick or hide all the time

Dojos prefer cooler water, kuhlis are tropical. Do you have room for another dojo or 2? They really like friends, maybe a different color-- brown, golden or albino, they're the same species.

Myname, you beat me!

Well i didnt put them together but my dojo is in a 37g, he was the first fish i bought and is still my favorite fish. Hes one of the most active residents in the tank, loves to rest on my floating plants just below the water. My blue gourami and my dojo share the same sleeping spot next to the heater

I put the kuhlis in with my dojo when i shut down 2 of my 10gs. They hang out all the time! its so cool, i didnt think they'd interact at all but they are always swimming over and under eachother and darting up and down the tank, its really fun to watch. im glad i switched them

I love my dojo. IMO they can comfortably live up to 74. Kuhli's shouldn't be a problem, I'm assuming that you have sand substrate right?

No i dont, i havent figured out how to clean sand yet, ive asked around and no help =(. I see the kuhlis try to burrow in my rocks but they are too small to do it atm. My dojo (about the size of an adult Kuhli) has no problem flicking her tail and sending rocks swirling about lol. I may try a sand substrate later in the future when i figure out how to clean it of course. Perhaps you know how?

Remove the wide rigid tube from a gravel vac. Use the long flexible tubing as a siphon. I get the flow started by filling the tube with sone tank water (turkey baster is perfect for this), then while one end is under water, plug the other end while you lower it into your bucket. Release the end and gravity will pull the water from your tank, starting a siphon. I use said turkey baster to swish mum up from the sand while directing the siphon to suck it up. You can also hover the hose 1/2" over the sand to pick up dead leaves, etc.

Ok thank you, ill keep that in mind. Im sure a sand bottom will really make decorations look so much nicer.
