Loaches for my 55

Here's what I'm thinking for my final stocklist:
1 Common Pleco,
4 danios,
1 angelfish,
2 golden dojo loaches,
4 yoyo loaches,
2 pakistani loaches,
10 dwarf loaches ,
10 chain loaches.

Is this a good stocklist, or am I pushing the limit?

Not a good stock list. "Dwarf loaches" and "chain loaches" are synonymous to me. They are still the same species, Yasuhikotakia sidthimunki. The same can be said with "yoyo loaches" and "pakistani loaches". Both names are synonymous to one species, Botia almorhae.

Don't mix dojo loaches with any of the two above. That will not work. You cannot mix sids with yoyos either. They will never be happy with larger counterparts dominating them.

I could drop the dojos, considering that they aren't really compatible with angels either...

What are some nice loaches that could work with this:
1 common pleco
4 leopard danios
1 angelfish
20 Yasuhikotakia sidthimunki, Chain loaches, dwarf loaches or whatever.

^You said that "
Don't mix dojo loaches with any of the two above." and then you said the rest weren't compatible. Not arguing, just a little weird.

I got into thinking that two speicies were just one TWICE?
Darned Petcos...

LMAO! That's why I am glad you asked the forums instead of believing the chain stores like most people do.:grinyes:

That one is better but I wish you'd rather ditch the common pleco as it takes up a lot of space in a 55g.

^If I could ditch him, There'd be ranchus in there... I also wouldn't have to transport every ramshorn I see out of pity to the betta tank...

I'm holding it for a friend, he's going to get a 90 that the pleco can be in, but ATM all he has is a 30, so I took him in.

^LOL
Curious, if said event were to occur (or if he gets of his lazy butt and buys it with his own money) could a ranchu be kept with any loaches other than danios, and would I have to get rid of the angelfish?

You'd have to get rid of the angelfish, danios, common pleco and other loaches. Dojos are the only ones in your list that would work so far. If you are interested in snails, try apple snails. Apple snails are quite personable than most people realize.

I've had apples in the past, and out of personal preference I like Rams better.

^Considering this, I think I might stick with the loaches, considering I do kinda want a Green phantom after the L021 moves out...

So, with my *outstanding* logic that the pleco will be gone before he reaches one foot, will this setup work? Can I add more chain loaches? How many yoyos could I have assuming the dwarves weren't in there?
