found this store on Yelp, and visited them today. This tiny NEW establishment has some of the HEALTHIEST fish and invertebrates I have EVER SEEN AT ANY FISH STORE!!

The nice old asian man did all he could to help me out even though his english was hard to understand but what I got from our conversation was that this location has only been here for ~8 months, but he's been in the fish business for ~30 years (moved down here from Los Angeles) and his experience shows!

He carries Koi anywhere from 1.5 inch to over 1 foot, as well as a huge variety of cichlids, goldfish, arowanas, guppies, blue crayfish, cherry shrimp, exotic bettas, angelfish, and to my amazement, ALL of his tanks had crystal clear water... EVEN HIS 2 FEEDER FISH tanks were in Crystal CLEAR water!!!

He also has a variety of foods and equipment that look imported direct from Asia, brands I'd never seen before... some bags were written all in Japanese.

Anyway, I went in there to check out his Red Cherry Shrimp and they are by far the HEALTHIEST shrimp I've ever seen locally (unlike Aquatic Warehouse) he keeps his shrimp in 2 shrimp-only tanks and they're only $2 each! They are apparently imported from Taiwan.

In terms of pricing, they were pretty good for a mom and pop shop. from what I can remember, as of 03-03-2010 his blue crayfish (labeled blue lobsters) were about 2" and 11.99, his baby arowanas (about 3") were 11.99, his beautifully colored guppies (really dark vibrant colors) were $2 each and he even kept bettas with damaged fins in a separate area and marked them down!

Conclusion:
If you're looking for a place to get the HEALTHIEST high quality fish, and/or fish supplies, this is definitely your store.

Thanks! I am always on the lookout for a new store!

How were the coloring on the red cherry shrimp?

they aren't as dark a red compared to the ones at aquatic warehouse unfortunately.. but they definitely are less likely to die on you after a day.. :)

the smallest ones i got from AW are still alive and i think they're male.. so i picked up 3 females at D&K so now they'll have plenty genetic diversity
