Local yard sign 250Gal $200 but dimensions 72X24X18!

This tank is claimed to hold water been sitting on trailer for 6 months. Claimed to be 250 gallons and wants $200, but measures 72L x 18W X 24H. I guessed it was 180 gallons so he is willing to take $100, I said OK and told will return with $100. But now that I checked online at home the volume calc say only 135 gallons. The tank has no cracks or chips and the seals look good as claimed and looks like it will hold water as claimed. Also comes with 4 heavy original glass covers. He is willing to include stand original made of particle board but its swollen damaged from rain so no good, don't want it. What do you all think? Should I go lower say $75 claiming the tank is actually 135G not 250G?

100 bucks is still a great deal on a 135 looks like an oceanic too, I've got the same tank except a 150. Man you find some good deals on tanks!! Can't get tanks like that around here for under $500.00

I would give him a $100.00 for the tank and covers and let him pay to throw away the stand. Unless you need it to store the tank empty

I'd pay $100 for the 135 tank as well. In fact, I'm a little jealous.

100.00 is very fair price its less than 1.00 a gallon. doesnt the sign on it say 2,500.00 ?

sign says "obo." If your $75 is the best offer he gets....? I doubt if he wants to haul it back into the house, or leave it occupying that trailer any longer.

And is that a light on top? If that's in decent shape, along with the covers you're nearly getting the tank for free even at $100. Do what you think is best.

That sign is for the 16 foot tilt trailer it is sitting on.

I don't know for me its all about footprint. The largest tanks with the smallest footprint is what I like. to me ideal would be 72L X 36W X 36H. For the future maybe its time I build my own plywood / glass face tanks that fit exactly on each wall space.

pics are deleted if it is a better brand like oceanic prob still a good deal even for 150-200ish. in the end its all relative to where you live. often in so cali you can find 100+ gallon tanks with stand for $1 a gallon or less.
